  • The Best Herbal RemediesMore and more people are turning to herbal remedies to cure their ailments. Their main reason for doing so, it seems, is to avoid the various side effects that artificial medication invariably provides. Whilst these medicines often work, the pain or nausea from the side effects is often just not worth it.

Another reason people are increasingly turning to natural medicine is that people are starting to realize that many common herbal remedies have been used for thousands of years in various ancient cultures as their main source of medicine. Generally speaking, the reputations of certain medicine doesn’t last if it doesn’t work!

Ginger Is One of the Best Common Herbal Remedies

One of the most common herbal remedies in existence is ginger. Ginger is used to treat a variety of illnesses that produce inflammation within the body. The reason is that ginger is rich in anti-inflammatory chemicals that inhibit the enzymes that cause the inflammation in the first place.

Ginger has the capacity to ease, and in some cases even cure, various illnesses. For example, it has been linked to the curing of acidosis, anorexia, fever, Parkinson’s disease, fibromyalgia, pneumonia, poor appetite, gallbladder problems, polyps, headache, arthritis, morning sickness, breast cancer, sinusitis, inflammation, and complications from cancer.

What all of these conditions have in common is that they are caused in some way by inflammation, which makes ginger such a great treatment for them. Ginger can be ingested directly, although some people are turned off by its strong taste. Those who cannot handle the strength of its taste can dilute it by brewing the powder into a tea. Drinking this tea two to three times a day will be enough to provide ginger’s various medicinal benefits.

    Ginkgo Bilboa

Ginkgo bilboa is another herbal remedy that has been around for thousands of years. Ginkgo is a popular herbal treatment for memory enhancement, as well as treating circulatory disorders. Some studies show that ginkgo can also be effective at treating dementia. Ginkgo can be found in most health food stores in either tea or supplement form, which should both be taken twice a day to maximize their benefits.

    Kava Kava

Whilst many herbs treat physical ailments such as congestion and inflammation, kava kava focuses on treating mental conditions such as insomnia, depression, and anxiety. Kava Kava is known to improve mood, produce a feeling of contentment, and improve relaxation. This herbal remedy can be used in place of potentially harmful synthetic drugs such as Xanax and Valium.

Saw Palmetto Is One of the Most Common Herbal Remedies for Men

Saw Palmetto is popular amongst men looking for a natural way to reduce inflammation of their prostate. It also treats the symptom of frequent urination that goes along with an enlarged prostate, which is part of the reason that it is taken by over 2 million men in America.

As more and more people get tired of suffering from the negative side effects of artificial medication, they are turning to herbal remedies to cure their ailments. Common herbal remedies such as ginger, ginkgo, kava kava, and saw palmetto are just a small sample of the thousands of herbs across the world with outstanding medicinal benefits.
